On 20 of February a general meeting of the GAA was held. The agenda of the meeting included the presentation of the Code of Ethics for Arbitrators and its approval. By an absolute majority of the attending members the Code of Ethics for Arbitrators was approved.
The Chairman of the Association, Lasha Nodia and board members - Levan Janashia and Irakli Kordzakhia made a presentation about the Code of Ethics.
As you know, the group, created in the GAA, had worked hard on the Code of Ethics. An American expert, Amy Schmidt, who came to work on the Code on November 4-11, held meetings with the working group of the Code of Ethics at the Association office for three days (5,6,7). On 8 of November an outdoor meeting was conducted by the support of JILEP and the final drafting of the text of the Code of Ethics was made. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of our Association, as well as the representatives of JILEP.
