About Association

Georgian Association of Arbitrators, union for arbitrators' self-regulation, was founded on the 22nd of April, 2013.

GAA's Goals are:

  • Raising public trust in and awareness of arbitration as an alternative dispute settlement mechanism
  • Improving the qualifications of Georgian arbitrators and ensuring their minimum professional standards
  • Establishing norms of professional ethics
  • Enhancing the arbitration environment through legislative initiatives

In order to achieve these goals, GAA creates working groups, cooperates with local and international organisations, organizes meetings and discussions with interested parties, and invites experts to be involved in the process.

The association is governed by the governing board.
